Philip “Flip” Ahn Cuddy is the grandson of the legendary freedom fighter Dosan Ahn Chang Ho. Flip holds a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Physical Geography from the University of Southern California. Cuddy’s passion is surfing, manifested in his commitment to the Eddie Aikau Foundation in Hawaii as a fundraiser and program developer.
Flip speaks and writes on Korean American history. His areas of expertise are Korean history from 1880 to 1950 and Korean American History (Pioneer Generation Immigrants, Independence Movement, and the Korean National Assocation). Cuddy’s work has exposed the myths and falsities of previously documented Korean and Korean American history texts.
